It was very comfy, warm and quite place. Great for relaxing weekend.
The staff were very friendly.
The shower didn't get very hot and the room (Dream Room) smelt of damp due to a massive damp patch on the ceiling that was mouldy.
Location is great. 5-10 min walk to Rembrandt Plein where are all the bars/restaurant. It's very quiet, not an hotel at all, more like a b&b type of place.
We had the Dream Room for 3 nights, it's rather small and the bathroom is tiny. It would need a bit of refurbishment as it doesn't look as nice as shown on the pix. The price is a bit high for what it is (doesn't include the breakfast) but the kitchen area was really convenient. We have asked for an extra pillow which we didn't get... Otherwise the owner was hepful, showing us where to go for a nice diner...
Great location and quirky style.
Roof leaked on the last night. Staff very apologetic although not much could be done at 4.45 in the morning and we were checking out about 2 hours later.
Great location, friendly owner, lovely comfortable room, all in all a very pleasant stay
Lots of stairs if your on the top floor.
The honeymoon room was very light and airy, with a huge comfortable bed. Very pleasant.
Was disappointed not to receive champagne for our honeymoon (as porevious reviews stated)! Was a little bit too far out of the centre.
It is not actually a hotel, more like apartments. The location is very good, close to tram station. It was easy to get to city center by foot as well. The room had a view in the back yard and it was very quiet, away from city's noise.
The room was very different from what we expected, not at all like in the photos. Very, very small, with a tiny bathroom. There is no closet, so we could not really unpack. I am aware that probably most rooms in Amsterdam are similar, however, based on reviewes and pictures on the site, I was expecting more. Anyway, it was acceptable, considering the price and the location.
Great hotel for independent travellers who like comfort. It's about 30 minutes walk from the centre which for us was a plus as there are so many lovely bars and restaurants in the area that are not full of tourists.Enjoyed our stay.
Thia is a holiday flat, not a hotel. It is located in a beautiful part of the city, on a canal with shops and restaurants nearby. I couldn't wish for better.
Kitchenette to make own dishes/breakfast
No hint of really narrow, steep staircases in the description. You really have to watch out your step each time and the hotel is no choice for people with problems to walk or climb stairs
I loved the building and the atmosphere, also the guy that rents it is so nice.
I liked the location. The bed was very comfy. The tele at the end of the bed was good.
I did not like the fact that there was nowhere to hang anything or put anything in the bathroom. There was a large wardrobe in the room but it was used by the owner of the guest house. We booked the Honeymoon room as it was our anniversary but unlike some guests we had no champagne
Good location if you want to be close enough to the action without having to stay right inside the party area.
The localization and the fact that we could make out. own meal.
Lack of kitchen tools.
The location was the best thing about the guest house, it was in a quiet neighbourhood with only a short walk to a number of very good restaurants and bars. The information provided by the owner on how to get to the location was also very good
I was very disappointed with the guest house and our room. It was sold as the dream room, the reality was that it was small, the double bed I asked for became two singles pushed together.I Expected the kitchenette to be in a seperate room but it was in fact alongside the bed leaving very little room to move around. The bathroom was the worst i've ever experienced, so impractical, very small and struggling to dry myself after a shower. At no point during our stay were the small towels we were given replaced. In fact after the first night, the towels, which were still damp, where refolded and placed on our bed. There was also the matter of 47 stairs to get up from street level, to get to the room,an issue for some I'm sure
